Optopoculus Max is a virtual reality audio creation & interaction app that was created during the April 2017 Seattle VR Hackathon. Our intent was to create a music-making experience with enough musical constraints and also possibilities to allow someone who isn’t a musician to play some music.

It was amazing to see many people put on the Vive VR headset, play music along with our app, and for them to then receive applause for their efforts.

We used Max MSP for everything: interaction, audio and video.
