Physical Prototyping, Electronics, Use in Performance

These are hardware controllers I built for performing live visuals for rock shows and electronic music performances. While performing, I want to be able to watch either the main screen or the audience instead of being limited to the narrow confines of a laptop screen.

The purple box incorporates dials, joysticks, a grid of buttons that can control individual events or timed sequences, and a space for an iPhone for software controller possibilities. The grid from the purple box partially inspired the Word Wall.

Little Smart Visuals Fun is a mashup of a toy laptop wired as a USB keyboard with an LCD panel for previewing footage.
